Christmas Cards

It is fun that it is almost Christmas. It is such a busy time, but so fun and spiritual too. We have been on the receiving end of so much goodness this year. We feel very blessed to have such loving and thoughtful friends. we sent cards out to family and e-mailed most everyone else, because money is tight and so if I forgot you, please forgive me, but here are our pictures that we got this year.
I know that this year is has been a hard one for almost everyone. The times are uncertain and it is scary not knowing if you can afford to pay your mortgage. But we are certain of our knowledge that God is real. His son Jesus Christ lived his life and Died so that we might return to live with our father again. I love knowing that, and I take comfort that I am not the only sinner in this world. I am not alone in the journey home. And How blessed I am to have a wonderful husband to be on this journey with me. And supportive family and friends to give ear and love when needed. Thanks all of you.

cute pictures

My friend took these after church one Sunday, they turned out pretty cute, but everyone was ready to go home and have some lunch.

Now we have snow. no more green grassy pictures for awhile!Bring on the Snow!!

i cut my hair and you can't even tell!!!

I cut my hair since that picture I posted of me when I won that cookbook. I couldn't stand it. I think my mom took around 7 or 8 inches. I can tell but looking at this picture... it is still really long. Decided not to donate it this time. maybe next year.

happy late birthday Spencer!

yep I am a bad blogger lately. I have so much fun reading everyone else's that I forget to do my own.

Well he turned the big 6 on December 3rd. It is so fun to have him in our family. He is such a good helper and has such a fun imagination.

I made some Spongebob cupcakes in ice cream cones. That was fun and they were yummy. Grandma and Grandpa, Lolly and Kelly and our friends Tom and Shan came over too.

He got some fun toys. Hulk and some Pokemon guys, and his friend Dallin got him a cool Iron man guy.

Beware of the next picture. I took some Hulk cupcakes to school for his class and check out the kid with the mohawk. Honestly. In kindergarten??? I had to take a picture.
Spencer got to stand up on his chair and his class and his teacher sang happy birthday to him. Hi was so cute, he was waving to everyone like he was in a parade during the singing.

I WON!!!

So I won a contest for this fabulous cook book, on FROM THE KITCHEN TABLE OF GRANDMA SANDERS It is my friend Holly's Grandma, that they put all of her grand recipes. I am a recipe fanatic and love to bake and cook... especially cookies and treats. So THANKS Holly and crew. I will let you know when I try these recipes out!!!

P.S. Liam took this picture and I'd say he did a smashing job. HOLY HAIR!!!!! I didn't even need a shirt! Do think it is long enough? I think it is time for a cut. It has been 2 years ago in march that I donated 12 inches to LOCKS OF LOVE. I think it is time again. Click there if you want to donate. It is a good cause that gives cancer patients or others who don't have hair..... a chance to have beautiful hair.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

So we had a really great Thanksgiving. Dinner with everyone except my sister Verenda and her family. They live in Japan :( And I got up early an d shopped with my sister-in-law at a few of the black Friday sales. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, but It is fun and exciting to try and get the deals. We got some great ones and I looked horrible i basically woke up and went. I didn't even look at my hair or anything I forgot. So when the sun started to come up I saw my reflection in the van and almost scared myself! Now we will put up Christmas decor this weekend and I can begin the road to wrapping. At least I can say I am done shopping!! Yay! God does not cease to be a God of Miracles..... they happen every day.

3rd Nephi 27:13-22
13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you—that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me.
14 And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil—
15 And for this cause have I been lifted up; therefore, according to the power of the Father I will draw all men unto me, that they may be judged according to their works.
16 And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world.
17 And he that endureth not unto the end, the same is he that is also hewn down and cast into the fire, from whence they can no more return, because of the justice of the Father.
18 And this is the word which he hath given unto the children of men. And for this cause he fulfilleth the words which he hath given, and he lieth not, but fulfilleth all his words.
19 And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end.
20 Now this is the commandment: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day.
21 Verily, verily, I say unto you, this is my gospel; and ye know the things that ye must do in my church; for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do;
22 Therefore, if ye do these things blessed are ye, for ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

Today I had the opportunity to go with my aunt and of course other family and friends to the temple. It was a very neat experience. She has had a long life of struggles. She served a mission and was a good woman, but after some mistakes had been excommunicated from the church. Now after many years all of her blessings have been restored. She has no past in His eyes. She is FORGIVEN. I love our Savior Jesus Christ and the power he has to heal us and our hearts. From whatever pain we have whether it be physical, mental, emotional... if we let him, He will heal us. I am grateful for Jesus and His love for me. I am grateful to have witnessed a miracle today. I have had my own miracles that he has healed me from, and I sure will have more yet to come. But what an amazing thing. We repent and he forgives us. We all need this in our lives. Now let us Endure to the End and find Joy in our Journey!!
Happy for you B!!!

OH, Well.

This was a very honorable speech spoken like a true winner. I wished he would have spoken more like this on the campaign trail. Oh well. It is scary what is ahead, but we just need to listen to our true President, President Monson to guide us and be close to our Heavenly Father. We also need to be doing our part in our homes to make sure our family units are strong. We will get through these hard times!!!

Pickin' some Punkins

I don't know what they were all looking at, but they wouldn't look at me. We went to the pumpkin farmers and chose some good lookin' pumpkins for cheap. There was a cow and hay, and lots of pumpkins. That is all we needed. The kids had a lot of fun with each other as you can tell. They even hauled all our punkins in a cute little wagon.

Good Times!
