Vacay part eight: Refrigerating

Vacay part seven: Service Project

So Jarom's parent's arranged for everyone to help them with a few few projects. So of course the men did all the working, the kids did all the playing and the moms did all the tending to the little ones. Tried to anyway. There are 29 grandkids and 2 on the way! who had the hardest job?;)

Happy Groundhog's Day???

At 7:30 AM EST on February 2, 2009 the world discovered that
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow - predicting six more weeks of winter!

My friend reminded me that that is what day it is today. Unfortunately I don't know how happy it is. I have been ready for the sunshine and spring. We have had a lot of inversion and gloomy weather, which makes me sort of gloomy. Well it is what it is. Hope everyone has a good day! By the way, where did January go???

Fight FOCA

As most of you know, Obama made a public announcement that he is going to sign the Freedom Of Choice Act, which will allow all types of abortions including partial birth abortions, also allowing babies who are born alive due to botched up late term abortions, to be set aside without any medical care or nourishment and left to die (most of these babies have no medical problems and most of the ones that do, have things like cleft palates, club feet, things that are correctable, still they are murdered in the most cruel and inhuman way. They feel everything that is happening to them. There is more mercy for dogs that are put to sleep) This Bill also will make it mandatory for doctors and nurses to perform this murderous act even if they do not want to do so. This act also allows under age teens to have an abortion, even partial birth abortions, without parental consent.
Catholic Bishops have pleaded with Obama not to go ahead with this horrible murder of innocent babies. They have also told Obama that if he persists in signing this Bill which would require even Catholic Hospitals to perform these acts of murder, they will have no choice but to close all Catholic Hospitals. Please let us join with these courageous Bishops who will go to any length to change Obama's mind.
Please take a minute to sign this statement and let our voices be heard.

This is a great, informative website. You can click on the video of Obama's speech to the Planned Parenthood group where he promised that the first thing he would do if elected President would be to sign the Freedom Of Choice Act. He isn't even in the White House yet and he made a statement last night that he will go forward with his plans to sign this outrageous bill.
He still can change his mind because the Bill cannot be signed until he is actually the President.

Please let your family and friends know about this Bill and ask them to also sign this petition. Please click on the web site below. It will take less than a minute of your time, doesn't cost anything and God will bless you for standing up for Him and His commandment, "Thou shalt not kill".
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing"

it's been awhile.....

This is my roommate from when I was at Utah State Julie. She happens to be the sister of a guy that used to be in our ward. So her family came to Idaho to visit and I got to see her again. She came to my wedding 7 years ago and I think that is the last time I have seen her. But we had some good times as roommates. She is really amazing. Super smart, and one of the nicest people you'll meet. It was so fun to catch up and see her little family.

Christmas Cards

It is fun that it is almost Christmas. It is such a busy time, but so fun and spiritual too. We have been on the receiving end of so much goodness this year. We feel very blessed to have such loving and thoughtful friends. we sent cards out to family and e-mailed most everyone else, because money is tight and so if I forgot you, please forgive me, but here are our pictures that we got this year.
I know that this year is has been a hard one for almost everyone. The times are uncertain and it is scary not knowing if you can afford to pay your mortgage. But we are certain of our knowledge that God is real. His son Jesus Christ lived his life and Died so that we might return to live with our father again. I love knowing that, and I take comfort that I am not the only sinner in this world. I am not alone in the journey home. And How blessed I am to have a wonderful husband to be on this journey with me. And supportive family and friends to give ear and love when needed. Thanks all of you.

cute pictures

My friend took these after church one Sunday, they turned out pretty cute, but everyone was ready to go home and have some lunch.

Now we have snow. no more green grassy pictures for awhile!Bring on the Snow!!

i cut my hair and you can't even tell!!!

I cut my hair since that picture I posted of me when I won that cookbook. I couldn't stand it. I think my mom took around 7 or 8 inches. I can tell but looking at this picture... it is still really long. Decided not to donate it this time. maybe next year.

happy late birthday Spencer!

yep I am a bad blogger lately. I have so much fun reading everyone else's that I forget to do my own.

Well he turned the big 6 on December 3rd. It is so fun to have him in our family. He is such a good helper and has such a fun imagination.

I made some Spongebob cupcakes in ice cream cones. That was fun and they were yummy. Grandma and Grandpa, Lolly and Kelly and our friends Tom and Shan came over too.

He got some fun toys. Hulk and some Pokemon guys, and his friend Dallin got him a cool Iron man guy.

Beware of the next picture. I took some Hulk cupcakes to school for his class and check out the kid with the mohawk. Honestly. In kindergarten??? I had to take a picture.
Spencer got to stand up on his chair and his class and his teacher sang happy birthday to him. Hi was so cute, he was waving to everyone like he was in a parade during the singing.

I WON!!!

So I won a contest for this fabulous cook book, on FROM THE KITCHEN TABLE OF GRANDMA SANDERS It is my friend Holly's Grandma, that they put all of her grand recipes. I am a recipe fanatic and love to bake and cook... especially cookies and treats. So THANKS Holly and crew. I will let you know when I try these recipes out!!!

P.S. Liam took this picture and I'd say he did a smashing job. HOLY HAIR!!!!! I didn't even need a shirt! Do think it is long enough? I think it is time for a cut. It has been 2 years ago in march that I donated 12 inches to LOCKS OF LOVE. I think it is time again. Click there if you want to donate. It is a good cause that gives cancer patients or others who don't have hair..... a chance to have beautiful hair.
